Oh, come the hell on.
The “morale” of Friendship University is all over the damn place, and needs to trample on it’s own “Learn to give others a second chance” ways to do so, having Starswirl foreshadow that shows that while the staff was self-aware of torpedoing their own themes, they still went ahead with it.
“Do what you think is right, even if it means demolishing your reputation, cause you’re the main character and these guys are designated villains so it’s 100% certain you’re right”.
This was yet another opportunity to show the opposite, that Flim and Flam can do something right, instead of having scam embedded in their DNA, along with some kinda magic that makes everyone but the Mane 6 unable to resist them. Reputations are meant to work both ways, but… apparently not? Fuckin’ hell.
 
Honestly, they could have depicted the Flim Flam Brothers as having turned over a new leaf and the school being an honest one, but nope, you have to still show them as being con artists.

It would’ve been cool to see the Flim Flam bros turning a new leaf, but it didn’t really bother me all that much and what they went with was still alright albeit a bit too simple.
 
I admit it would’ve made the episode a bit more interesting.

A Canterlot Wedding did “Your reputation is worth losing if you know something is wrong” much better, and without being so damn obnoxious about it.
I have to disagree, pretty much across the board. There is no trampled moral here, in fact it’s arguably an improved one. You should be willing to give others a second chance, but sudden claims of redemption from repeat offenders should also be taken with a healthy bit of skepticism. And Twilight is right to be skeptical. As she points out, pretty much every time they’ve crossed paths it’s involved some form of con. That’s not to say she’s adverse to the idea that they can change. Even after she discovers what they’re really up to, she says they can keep teaching her lessons if they just stop charging for them. But they have to actually, legitimately want to change, and that clearly isn’t the case yet.
 
And you also have to bear in mind, reputation does work both ways, and she knows theirs quite well. But in some ways they’re a harder force to fight because they aren’t actually using magic on anyone. They’re both charismatic and confident, two things which count for a lot with the kind of hucksterism they rely on. It would be one thing if they were coercing ponies to go along with them. Twilight would have a much easier time with that. But what they actually have is an equally sinister skill at skirting the law and tricking ponies into going along with what they say. It really becomes a fight between all the good she’s done versus what they can make everyone believe, and that’s a fairly hard fight to win even with Twilight’s history.

Okay, I guess.
Hmm, I agree that FU would have been much better if the FF Brothers had turned a new leaf and decided to run a genuine, scam free business, but maybe it would hae been even better if the episode had been full of clues and hints implying that the entire thing was yet another scam until the final act, where everything is finally revealed to be 100% legit and the ones learning a lesson about second chances were Twi and company.

I remember someone questioning why more people didn’t go than just Rare and Twi. But like, we just had an episode where it was shown that Twi would rather NOT empty the school wherever possible.

Actually, they didn’t leave for Las Pegasus. They said that if they were allowed to skip Rarity’s class they were going to go on a road trip.

Can we refrain from uploading caps from already released episodes until the episodes properly air in America?
As much as I wish that would happen, I suspect it is not something they will do. We’re just going to have to wait patiently for another 2½ to 4½ weeks.
 
On the plus side, just think how much better those episodes will be one at a time, with good audio and video sizes.

Same here. This entire situation just splits the fandom and takes away from the enjoyment of seeing all these things together.
