Oddly, in the leaked copy only Haber was credited with writing both parts. By the time it aired in the US, this was corrected to credit Haber with the story and co-writing the teleplay with Dubuc.

Hollow Shades looks like the ruins of the village where the six legends fought off the Sirens and the Pony of Shadows.  

 
After they sealed the PoS. Having been the center of numerous battles. The location might have started depopulating as it’s inhabitants sought out to live in more stable areas elsewhere. At one point, I would suspect that the place was taken over by Shadow cultists who might have built an intricate shrine to the PoS underneath the central well of the village ruins and left there for centuries.

Well, specifically, something in the show must prove that EG happened.

Funny how I spend months harping on about Tempest’s super strength, yet have no problems with impossibly strong AJ. ;)
 
I doubt AJ could jump as high as she can, though. But Pinkie’s been shown to be able to jump high (she was leaping across entire buildings in TCE).

They also could have added monsters that have inhabit the ruins since Ponies abandoned the area in the Hollow Shades. But instead, the place is completely deserted.  
The entire place looked like it would have made a great dungeon in an RPG.

I believe the shadow was more like a type of virus. They may take numerous different shapes and forms. They infect those with vulnerable souls and feed off of their hosts’ malice in insecurities.

Luna could have also known about that place. Coincidentally, both Stygian and Luna became Nightmares and Shadows in the Castle of the Two Sisters.  
And as Starswirl has mentioned on the map, there are or WERE several places in Equestria where the Shadow can recover or gain strength from, Hollow Shades being one of them. I would imagine there used to be more shrines just like the Well of Shades in the past before Ponies built over them.

It’s a Cave Story inspired series of indie games.

This is as equal as you’re going to get it. A perfect balance.

A strong group of six. Besides the mane 6, this is honestly my favourite group on the show so far.
 

If the next season is going to have movie references, which pretty much require having watched the movie to understand (and most people who watch the series will have watched the movie by the time season eight premieres), then there’s no reason they can’t also have EqG references. But they won’t aside from stuff that plays it safe like the Sirens cameo.

And the movie’s not even out here. In fact, I think Australia’s the only country it hasn’t come out yet.

Whelp. Equestria Girls is officially cannon now. As in, the Sirens were shown in the show. I don’t know how I feel about this.

I thought the rules are pretty straightforwards: Events in the show are canon to Equestria Girls, but events in Equestria Girls are only canon to the show if you want them to be.

Those are the rules at present at least, and I see little point arguing about them at this point.

That’s a diverse group of friends I wouldn’t mind seeing a spin off about. The mane 6 feels too homogeneous for me. They would’ve worked with just 3 ponies power puff girls style but not 6. Considering bkg ponies would make the bulk of the toys, having a large main cast seemed redundant.
 
EDIT: I just realized that the “age” grouping of the pillars are also very balanced. You can have them set up as a family on their own complete with a mom and dad type figure, uncle and aunt and even kids.
