Also, you said People ship what they want. Guess what, you, Edhelistar and DonMagus should let me ship Sparity as well.
 
And I know what you’re gonna say, because i could be glad that nobody’s stopping me or nobody said I or some others can’t ship Sparity.
 
Although, how can I do to support a pairing if the ship isn’t canon?

Rarity acknowledged to know about Spike’s crush to spare him having to say it. Then kept going on with her life because she knows it’s just a child’s crush.
 
Two seasons later, on ‘Simple Ways’, she had a huge crush on Trenderhoof and directly pointed Spike how he wouldn’t know how she felt. Meaning that she completely dismissed Spike’s crush as something real.

I interpret the Spike/Rarity dynamic as she does like his company a fair bit, but has zero romantic interest. Eventually, he grows up and they become good friends. The end. It’s an interesting approach for the show to take, especially because as time has passed, Spike’s childhood crush has evolved into a genuine appreciation and caring for her.
