It’s not ignoring it. I’m pointing out that it still isn’t fixed. Meanwhile, simply collecting your current data on downvotes and comparing that with tags, then adding that to a default filter, would’ve been done by now and without any ill effects whatsoever. It would also solve your imaginary problem.

Edit: I also like how pointing out you’ve nuked other peoples downvotes just because you (and this is a collective “you” as moderators) disagreed with their choice in downvotes becomes “I have a conspiracy theory”.

This site is not their job. It’s their hobby. Hence, they don’t earn money out of it, so they can only work on it as volunteers. In other words, issues won’t get fixed within a few minutes. Deal with it.

Except that’s a pretty fancy feature that takes a lot more dev time, has been suggested before and is actually planned.
 
In the meantime, this reduces the fact that downvotes are by far and large used by people that downvote content they could filter instead. Is it the perfect solution? Nope, like I’ve said multiple times in this and the other thread, we need to improve the filter system,

Well, for a certain interest there was the fact that at least one mod kept nuking my downvotes a while ago. As far as I was told it was due to me downvoting a certain tag, which seems rather odd when apparently people mass downvoting certain things is a rampant issue, but I was specifically targeted.

You don’t even need to improve the filter system. All you have to do is a one-time default filter based on current data you have. Or are you honestly claiming you can’t do that? Because I see several default filters in my settings list right fucking now you twat.

Nope, lets prevent people from exploiting it by making it harder for them to exploit it. Opening a pic, downvoting and returning to the main page is tedious, yes, but not downright impossible to the common user.
 
Exploiters dont tend to have the patience to do this with every single image, therefore the amount of people who exploits this is reduced with just a minor discomfort. Stop making a mountain out of a bunch of tiny stones, or something.

I don’t know about this ‘Special interest’ so I’m just gonna add other things;
 
Removing neigh and downvote display will cause a shift in the balance of voting. I rather have both since upvotes galore and downvotes galore are going to happen regardless. Besides, user who downvote images have their own reason on their own for specific reasons. I’ve seen some images that are pretty much terrible gets upvoted anyway. It’s two sides of a coin. Can’t have it without the other.
 
I’m assuming mods wanted people to upvote/downvote with more consideration? not just spamming em?

Yes sure, I did that and whatnot, every bit admit it and even told staff look, my bad, you can kill the other account or whatever. However the downvote nukes still occurred even after the ban had ended.

The thing is we have all of two users we consistently see upvoting images with little consideration of what they are (and those two know who they are). Meanwhile we have many users that downvote all content they could filter. We have more users that do this than users that use downvotes against trollposts or the like.

You said it was a widespread problem. PRESUMABLY when something is a “problem” that is “widespread” there’s data that provides trends of tags to votes, allowing an easy tabulating of what tags get downvote brigaded unfairly. Then add what tags correlate highest to the ratio of downvote abuse to the default filter.
 
Unless of course, you have no actual data. By the way, I believe my previous post asked for that data. I’m waiting. Shall I quote my own request until you prove the necessity of breaking your own website?

An actual abuser can and WILL use a script. Someone over the internet bored and just filled with hate for a pairing/fetish who, for some reason does NOT use filters, will find the whole thing harder to do. Therefore, if this person is lazy enough, then the downvotes will lower.
 
And there are a lot of lazy people out there on the internet, just look at the SJWs.

Now we’re back to the meat of it. So you don’t want to prevent “actual abuse” - which you now yourself describe as script users (that are entirely unaffected by this) - you want to prevent “Joe Lazy” from downvoting things he doesn’t like instead of filtering them.
