I like this image, but I think the creators are trying to imply that Luna and Celestia never had parents. Although in that case I’m not sure what it means for them to be sisters.

There’s something hauntingly beautiful about this. The mother seems very cold and yet very warm if that makes sense. It doesn’t hurt with the implications of what happened to the other alicorns (genocide?), considering how freakin’ rare they are.

Pretty soft for a Sony.
It seems most of the fanon has decided that the alicorn version of Lauren Faust is the mother of Celestia and Luna.  
Which I doubt the producers would do (but at this point in the show, I Really don’t know what to expect), so if they ever decide to show their parents, this is what I would like to see their Mom look like!
