Well said. In fact, one could say that not only is the person is maturing, bu also understands that she’s not as perfect as she claims. The true beauty and a way out of the friendzone is when you know she’s got those quirks that are annoying and may make you go “WTF?!” to yourself but you still are attracted to her beside it. That’s a indication that Spike’s thing with Rarity isn’t so much of a juvenile crush anymore–and surprisingly I think we can also thank Ember for that since ‘Gauntlet of Fire’ seemed to me that Spike is growing up.
Off topic, does anyone notice that this scene is just like from the episoded “The Crysalling, Part 1”? Nice to throwback to that, especially since we know that it’s Rarity now in front of everypony with that kooky idea out there, and everypony else has that same “Really?” look Spike had when he was explaining the crystalling event.

I just find it nice that Spike has got some development, where ever it may lead. I might be able to take Sparity seriously, just so long as it is not a crush, which seems to be the case so far……
I have a sinking feeling that I should not say anything bad about sparity, anyway, at least not here ;)

I think he more mature about it since he adore his bond with Rarity i remeber someone said that at a convention the staff met many sparity supports and are kind of risky should they pair Spike up with Ember but there nothing wrong with Spike/Rarity.I think they call it “If it not broken don’t fix it.”

I second that.
Yes. Relationships and/or crushes usually involves their ups and downs, so I have to agree with this.

Just because you have a crush on someone doesn’t mean you don’t get tired of their yay! from time to time.

Did you mean “why wasn’t he crushing on Ember”? Can’t see why he would be crushing on Ember.
He doesn’t have to switch to another crush or anything, just saying he’s done with crushes. Crushes = immature.
Care to explain but if his crush on Rarity is over then why he was crushing on Ember when first meeting her?
Given Spike’s unimpressed expression, I think his over-infatuation days of Rarity are over.
actually, Rarity was just chuckling at Spike for being a dork.
