Correction: most cheap ones. Normal cameras used mirrors for it.

At first I thought Spike wasn’t really messing up the picture by placing his finger over the lens, since most older cameras have a separate array for viewing the picture, and the red frame and crosshair suggested the P.O.V. was coming from that one. Looking at the scene again, though, it looks like Minuette has a more expensive camera where the eyepiece connects directly to the main lens for more accurate shots. So yeah, he messed up.

I’ve learned later on that it was because I had asbergers, so my mannerisms were different enough to warrant people to notice, but not different enough to actually be ‘wrong’. It’s like the uncanny valley, but with social interaction. I also just read up on it, and it seems people like me only want one good friend, and doesn’t really feel communication every day is a part of friendship. Which is what I did. Like, only call when you have need, and when you have reason. Not just to say hi, because that doesn’t make sense. My middle school days were a living nightmare because of that. My High School days were just apathetic though, because I learned my main prblem and just learned to not show my true self. I got left alone at least.

And then when I learned I had to do stuff like that, it was too late. And now when I try to make friends I either call them too much, or too little. So they either get annoyed, or they get distant. I just can’t figure it out. So, I kind of just gave up trying. It was just too exhausting.

How can you change who you fundamentally are?

I couldn’t tell if they were actually friends, or just sticking with Twilight because she was a princess now. I have never been able to tell what is and isn’t a friend, because people who I thought were friends actually were mocking me because I just didn’t interact with people the same way others do.

That’s something that happens with writing. A writer tends to figure out what an audience expects, and then they have to figure to make it fresh and unexpected without ruining the story.
