And once again, what most of the anti people don’t like to address (cause thinking is hard, its easier to be a sheep), is the fact that calling him a “baby” is basically just a technicality at this point. He’s not a pony, he’s a dragon. He obviously doesn’t physically age like a pony, because we know for a fact he’s been alive for more than 10 years (if the Mane6 are young adults, then probably around 15), so he’s obviously not actually a baby.

However, either because its normal for dragons, or because he was raised by ponies, his mental development/age matches that of a pony of his same chronological age.

I don’t get people on this, I really don’t. I mean, its entirely possible that 100 years from now he’s still going to be looking the same, yet because we know his mental development is “normal” (as in person/pony normal), that means he’s going to be a 100-year old adult inside. Would they STILL insist it’d be inappropriate for him to want to be with an adult mare because of the way he looks? Shouldn’t a modern, civilized society be civilized enough to understand that the rules they’ve created for themselves, obviously should have loopholes for cases like his?

I’m not saying its appropiate now because its very likely Spike is still underage, but if you simply bother to take into account what his age relative to the Mane6 actually seems to be, then its clear that if he’s underage, he’s not going to be much longer. The “never going to happen” thing is a fine stance, but it should be made clear its based solely on appereances.

In truth, he’s basically the equivalent of a 17-year old pinning for a 24-year old and counting the days until his birthday.

Spike was adult sized twice, Think about it, Going through puberty twice then being stuck with a little body and Rarity prancing about. . .Talk about Prince Blue Balls.

Spike’s age is really hard to define because the creators never really touch on it, they make it pretty vague and just don’t touch upon if dragons age like ponies or not, so yeah it’s hard to say that spike is a baby dragon due to the vagueness of how they define and show his aging, he shows no real aging like everyone else does and seems to stay the same size the rest of the series, excluding the origin episode, so yeah we don’t know his age and with only rarity, and others sometimes saying it people have decided he’s a baby dragon, but I don’t believe that is so he’s, at my estimate, at least 12 or 14 at best, that’s just me tho.

Ow the edge
Its probably that in the future we get an episode about Rarity wanting to tell Spike that she is not interested in him romantically, but she doesnt want to break his little young heart, so she probably is going to ask Twillight and her other friends how to do it without hurting him.
All that with a friendship lesson about how to keep as freinds your unrequited lovers. Something that lots of girls would be handy to them learn.
