You’re assuming she actually wanted to kill. Babyfaces don’t go for killshots, that’s a Heel move. Historically, when facing ponies or ponylike beings, the idea is subdue and reform. Only deviations were Sombra, who was some sort of lich, and Tirek.
@Exhumed Legume
So she has problems with precision.
Considering in the same episode Twilight was used as a magical Gatling gun we can assume that single beams can be achieved.
Chrysalis sang about her heart having no room, implying she had a heart.
One beam to the heart and the swarm is mindless and directionless.

Deploying the heavy artillery at a target currently in your own capital city and surrounded by civilians is kind of considered a bit of a faux pas…

Pfft, no. She tried to attack. The problem with attempting an all out attack on an opponent is if there is anyone you care about in the room, you have to be careful. Your enemy gives no fucks, so…
Something tells me Luna didn’t know. Or want to know.
Awk-ward…
@Background Pony #C010
Let me guess – your sister asked your dad how babies are made, and since she was 9, your dad oversimplified things and skipped a few of the more pertinent steps? X)
all the more reason for luna and celestia to be selene and artemis, because of the callous way that cupid eros treated them as not-gods. they’re different from both olympian gods we’ve seen, and what’s more of a barbarian god, than a god of beasts?
Tis a shame
I guess no one watches ‘Rocky’ anymore…
What about Greek?
The sun god has no nationality.
Going to be a time where she has to be “put down”.
Chrysalis was essentially a terrorist. You do not negotiate with terrorists.
And from her return we saw that leaving her alive proved to be a mistake.

Like she was trying to “obliterate” Chrysalis? Emphasis on trying.
Its a kids show. She can’t be seen trying to obliterate an opponent.
She’ll win a fight someday… maybe…
That’d be cool if Equestria were a stone’s throw away from Tamriel
Awk-ward…

Luna and Twilight, though XD
So a new page AND a Sunbutt Sunday this weekend?
What have we done to be so amply rewarded?
