Blood Brandy

@hentaispyder
It is something that came to mind, yes, but it’s also a true thing. Sudden immersion in cold water, especially at or close to freezing temperatures, can cause sudden death by cardiac arrest due the the vascular constriction caused by the cold, basically meaning you have a heart attack because your heart suddenly has to work harder to pump blood through veins that have gotten smaller in the cold. This can also pump the cold from the limbs into the rest of the body, causing further constriction, which is worsened when it returns to the heart.

Not a plesent way to go.

But if you mean the picture itself, I wouldn’t know, I didn’t commission anything for it

Or, you know, it was the temperature. That water is freshly melted, so it’s probably close to freezing, and just dropping into water like that can throw a mammal into shock, but a reptile, which are normally cold blooded…Yeah, Bad End…

Congratulations, dear artist. Your picture has just become a visual example of a point made on MLP:FiM’s Fridge Horror page on TVTropes.

Or, having floated far out into the lake, swam and swan and swam until his poor little legs and arms were tired. Oh, how he screamed for Twilight, how he screamed for his “friends”… but they did not come… they did not come…

Actually, lava’s like an order of magnitude more dense than water. Assuming you were fire-immune, you could swim in lava even if you’d sink like a literal rock in water.

None of which matters for this pic since he’s clearly floating, but still!
