Noted. Honestly I didnt think Loppk Before You Sleep as being the jump off for RariJack, bit everything has its starting point. Im a little disappointed more Flutterspike wasnt done though; you would think Shy’s fascination with Spike being a baby dragon in Equestria would have more legs, but c’est la vie..

Keep in mind sparity didn’t really kick off in popularity till season 2 where as rarijack was getting traction ever since look before you sleep. Its funny though how Sparity and Rarijack are so neck and neck and close to each other compared to all the other ships most notably appledash which is the one that actually became canon

Rarijack is beating Sparity because 1) it’s probably been wanted, 2) it’s a yuri shipping and considering MLP is supposed to be primarily girls, straight pairings are not as possible, and 3) I think Dragon dropped was the unofficial break-off of Sparity. It’s wasn’t and accident Spike anf Gabby were together a lot.
Mind you Im still a Sparity supporter, but give credit when it’s due:RariJack is a fascinating ship and can see that actually happen. Not to mention Spike probably has other suitors other than Rarity, like Ember and Smoulder, so ultimately all’s well that ends well.

Is the final part meant sarcastically? Most of these are still really popular. In fact, I wish the image had shown what the current Top 11 is for comparison.

why do people ship Spike & Rarity?  
there age difference is massive  
Rarity is a business woman - early 30s / late 20s  
Spike did not even hit his teens yet

Agreed, all of the ships are still insanely popular, just that there are more ships to choose from and more plausible, like the ships Sparlight and EmberSpike instead of Sparity, Startrix instead of Twixie, and SugarMac instead of Fluttermac.
 
I still like them, though. Not to mention of all the shipping tags, Sparity is the only one that cracked 5000+ images…
 
Just gives us more ammo to work with, ironically…

The best of these is Soarindash. I still kinda like sparity but these days I prefer Spike with Ember. Most of these others I don’t care about at all.

Plenty of these are still popular. TwiDash and AppleDash keep getting images and remaining neck-and-neck in image count, while Rarijack pretty much blew past them both.
