I was thinking more of the platforms to the different gem paths in the second and third games.
 
I have the first game as well, but I cannot play it without joysticks. I’m waiting until I can get an adapter so I can use an Xbox controller on my laptop and then I’ll run it using ePsXe so I can actually use joy sticks with it

This makes me realize I didn’t really like the “standing on top of object that isn’t actually there in impossible space while singing” motif of this episode. The new marks and the diamond serving as platforms for the characters as they sing about how they feel. Plus the whole musical thing of “I’m sad now. I’m going to sing a five minute song about it.”
