Meh It’s worked fine for me for years, I used to grip the string but the release would sometimes not be as accurate so I’m gone stick with my method.
And the arrow isn’t on the wrong side, I put my arrows on that side too. It’s for lefties.

When it’s an instinct bow, it’s three fingers under the arrow and none above it. Two under and one above is for ordinary recurve. And sticking the finger out like that will mess with your aim, as your eye tries to focus on both the arrow and the finger.
And m8, pulling the notch instead of the string is honestly quite a catastrophic habit to have. It’s something I would cringe at if I saw an archer do.
She also has the arrow on the wrong side.

I hunt with a bow and though I took no lessons I don’t hold the string I grip the arrow notch and pull back.
I also don’t stick my finger out like that. :/
What is she doing wrong?
