Yes, this does feel more like A implies A, rather than A is a proper subset of A.

I mean, if you look at it the right way, then I guess that “A is a proper subset of A” means that A implies A….

I’m not sure, I studied mathematical logic for a semester at uni, but that was over 20 years ago. Also according to my transcript, I scored 42% on that module (which was a pass, though - the pass-mark was 40% xD)
