@Pikapetey
Well, he’d probably need to, since it’d be on the Bronycon website; he wouldn’t be able to make it a surprise appearance if he’s a headliner, that’d damage badge sales significantly.
It’s like the massive amount of people that were in lines strictly for de Lancie in 2015, or St. Germaine in 2014.
Last time I heard of a convention looking into having Weird Al Yankovic to appear as a VIP, it would have cost the Convention $80,000 PLUS all expenses. Al’s time is very valuable.
But that was when we was in the middle of making his new album. So his time was extremely valuable.
I also doubt Al would take part in announcing his BronyCon appearance on his social media pages, his fan-base wouldn’t really like that.
@Chronicle23
Honestly, Al does stuff with other cartoons, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he was invited back for another episode, or even just a cameo.
I can guarantee that Al’s line would rival De Lancie’s lines; people from years and years of support, lining up to see him with massive amounts of merchandise.
@Chronicle23
It makes sense they wouldn’t have Strong there; they essentially need one person to be the “Mane Character” each year, or else they don’t have anything new to bring in.
Maybe she or Ashleigh Ball will be there next year… them, or Weird Al.
@ShimmeringStallion
IIRC, all IDW artists do their signings at their table at the dealers room (in any con in general). They are under different contracts compared to anyone directly related to the show (writers, production, VAs) which are under stronger Hasbro control and agents.

I’d mostly want to see Al, cause they may bring back Cheese Sandwich for an upcoming episode.

……………… Fine. All tagged.
Huh… was wondering why he was being shown at a giant panel-style table. Apologies.
