It’s really simple, why Trixie has such a great ego.  
She knows that magic isn’t her talent after all.  
It’s just for her own good.  
Selfprotection.  
Behind that mask of egotrip, she’s a caring, friendly soul, i bet.  
And even if that isn’t the case, she has something about her…  
I feel bad for looking at saucy stuff sometimes.  
But then again- they aren’t real, it harms no one.  
And i have accepted a long time ago, that i am a weird, weird person.

I suppose your theory is possible but after she took the amulet off she apologized showing she felt bad. And it’s true, she does think herself superior to someone even if she isn’t as talented as them, but it’s just because she has a big ego, which may or may not be her own fault(Who knows how she was brought up?). It’s your opinion about talking in the 3rd person but I find it quite charming when she does that(But that’s just my opinion) and she didn’t do it at the end of magic duel so she may not do it as much now. She really only told one lie, which was about the Ursa major, but that may have just been to get the mane six to shut up. But lets hear what ELSE you dislike about her.

I would say it wasn’t 100% the Amulets fault. I think she still had a lot of influence while she wore it.  
First thing i dislike about her is that even if she sees that she is clearly worse that someone else she still pretends to be better.  
Second thing: She speaks in 3rd person i dislike that a lot.  
Third thing is she LIES. I hate people who lie to someone else to make themselves better.

I guess it’s understandable for disliking her for that, although you realize it wasn’t out of her own free will, it was the amulet forcing her to do it. If you don’t mind me asking, just what ELSE do you hate about her?
