I was thinking of something rather similar, except when the request to help is made, I was thinking “these heavy things?” instead of “these books”, and then using the opportunity to gently lift her breasts off the top book and just hold them up quietly while Twilight gives a deadpan look.
 
Me: “… Give me about… fifteen more seconds of JUST holding them, and I’ll carry all four of those books to where you want ’em.”  
Twilight: “Five seconds.”  
Me: “Ten.”
