I know. Seems that they built Twilight up, just so that they could tear her down, and then build her up from scratch.
Honestly its not that bad writing for the long run. It gives time for the foils of her character to grow past her, and her being at the top helps evolve the guiding morals once they tear her down. The only part that’s bad is in the short run, where the initial buildup episodes tend to have a ton of holes in them. Thankfully, the series is past that part :D
and now look at what she did this episode.
