The original version of this image actually had a Fox amiibo in Soarin’s hooves, since it was supposed to correlate with the delivery of a present (a real Fox amiibo) I was mailing to the person that I vectored this for:

So, in a way, you can say that inside the box was a Fox amiibo. I’ll leave it up to interpretation how that would work in Equestria, whether by crossover or what have you.

Originally, I was intending to upload this to my DA right after he received the package, which I planned would arrive on the day of his birthday by shipping it out 2 days prior on USPS’ 2-Day Priority Mail. I would’ve mailed it out sooner on a slower service, but I wanted a Wednesday delivery day, and the only other ways at the time showed Monday or Tuesday arrival days (shipping day of Saturday with either 2 or 3-day delivery, not 4) as I couldn’t ship something out with USPS on Sunday (or didn’t know how).

Unfortunately, USPS quite literally failed to deliver (his birthday was yesterday, and it arrived at his doorstep a few hours ago), but since I still wanted to upload it on the day itself, I temporarily substituted the amiibo with a more-generic present box since I didn’t want to foil the surprise in case he saw the picture. That said, this was only the first time USPS failed me in this regard—they’re usually pretty good with stuff I send for the price I pay.
