Yep, this is WAY better than the only story using this idea. Cant even finish the first chapter because of the writting. I know its not his fault but… Here, if Luna wins, Celestia will just have to deal with it. And plot revenge later.

Knew I’d forgotten something there.
 
I stated they were doing 27 primarch figures.
 
The reason for that is, the guy said they were going to do corrupted versions of the 9 traitor primarchs.
 
I’m also thinking of dropping a suggestion of where they could go after they’ve done the Horus Heresy.  
How about looking further back?
 
The Ullanor campaign for example? Could give them some fun making more Ork toys if nothing else.
 
Another option, although I doubt they’ll even consider it sadly, is to do one of the campaigns against one of the missing primarchs (2nd and 11th legions) who have been confirmed to have turned traitor before the heresy. Shedding light on this would make for an interesting story, and it’d give Forgeworld an excuse to create a completely new primarch figure.
 
If anyone’s after guessing what these primarchs were like, you need to look at where the Emperor took his genetic samples from. Some of the legions are clearly from certain places on earth. (White Scars are clearly West Indian, Thousand Sons display Egyptian traits (and names), Ultramarines seem to be of Scottish descent etc.) None of the current legions display far eastern traits. Chinese/Japanese style stuff.

Maybe. I’d need to see official models in order to do something recognisable though. And they don’t exist yet.  
No doubt Forge World will fill that gap when they do the figure for the Emperor himself.
 
I’ve already spoken with the sales guy on the phone when ordering stuff.  
He did state that they were intending to do 27 primarch figures, plus the Emperor and a selection of influential characters for the Horus Heresy series of campaign books.
 
Not the last order I made, but the one before, I also requested a character model that’s currently missing from the list.  
And he’s kinda an important one.

Captain of the Word Bearers 7th assault company, a personal friend of Kharn (later ‘The Betrayer’), and the first ever possessed marine.  
He appears in several of the Horus Heresy books, and finally meets his end by being stabbed in the back by none other than the Word Bearers first chaplain, Erebus.

I’ve been busy with these.

There are a lot of boardgames that are distinctly similar to what the Royal Sisters do for a living. This reminds me of a story in which Princess Celestia talked at length about utilities and urban development, and how no one was going to buy her railroads; the punchline was, “who said anything about Monopoly?”
 
If Sunset Shimmer plays any games, she probably plays the sounds-like-a-princess’-day-job variety. I could certainly see her enjoying Warhammer 40,000; she’d probably be an eager participant in the change-the-fate-of-the-universe storyline campaigns I’ve heard about. (And she’s loaded with cash, unless gold is very cheap in the EqG world; so she can certainly afford the expense.)

I was thinking of having either Sunset or human Rainbow being the one who introduces her to the game. With Twilight getting the XIII legion, and Rainbow the V( for their speed), the others are next. Luna might get the Night Lords, Fluttershy either the World Eaters( if so it’ll be the loyalts), for just the reason you mentiond, Rarity the Emperes Children( for their look), not sure about Pinkie and Applejack. The rest, i have no plans yet.

Daft idea. You could try sticking, say, Sunset Shimmer or Trixie with the Thousand sons.
 
How about Moon Dancer for the Night Lords?
 
Pairing Fluttershy with the World Eaters just because it seems so out of character.  
(I can imagine her acting her usual self talking to her opponents whilst at the same time being one of the most aggressive players tactically. Could be fun to read if it’s written well).
 
All in all, you’ll need around 20 different factions (the 18 legions, the Emperor’s own forces, the mechanicum forces perhaps, and possibly the Solar Auxillia). So either you need a large roster of characters, limit which legions are being played, or have each character playing more than one army. (One loyal and one traitor each perhaps).

No kidden. Right now its just a rough idea for the begining. The rest will hopefully be easier once i get going. Once i get to a certain point in the one im working on now, i’ll have a good start for Twilight getting into it.

Just try to get yourself a rough outline of how you want the story to go before you start.  
Far too many fanfics don’t get done because the writer doesn’t know how they want the story to play out and what the conclusion is.

As of today, this story is a-go. Just got back from Gen-Con with all the material i need to make it sound realistic. Ultramarines for Twilight( Rainbow might get White Scars or Ravenwing), the others im not sure about. Going with the Horus Heresy era minatures. Thousand Sons and Twilight are overused. Dont have the legion list yet, but have the rules to get them started.

I’m trying to do my own story in comic form, but it’s a lot of work drawing each scene by hand.  
Probably not much easier doing it with a computer but it’s not an option I really want to go in to. Drawing’s just a minor hobby for me.
 
Also, it surprises me that despite the millions of artists out there on the internet, my own drawing style is still unique. Others do draw the same way, but you can’t mistake one of my drawings for another artist’s.

When it does, it’ll be on Deviantart( if i knew how to link on this site i would), but it’ll be a long while before it comes out. For stories, you cant please everyone. Some peole might not go for op charcters( even if it works for the story), some want certin things to happen, and get pissed off when they dont( A Second Chance is a perfact example), and some are just that way(for who-knows what reason). Me. If i person likes my stuff, i call it a succes.

I’m not 100% sure what has caused the dislikes.  
When I first uploaded the story, it wasn’t paragraphed properly, and needed a lot of editing.  
Got 7 down votes within the first 2 days, and only 2 up, which left me a bit disheartened, but I’ve persevered with it and the likes are slowly crawling up.
 
I think the further dislikes are probably because the first 2 chapters just explain what’s going on, and are a bit slow. It picks up in part 3.  
Part 6 is pretty slow too.  
Other reasons may be that the loyalist guardsmen in the story seem overpowered. (They manage to take out a warhound titan, (admittedly by cutting through it’s ankle supports with a melta gun at point blank range).  
That said, there are 7 Imperials at the start. Now there’s just 4. And no vehicles now.
 
I only finished part 8 a couple of days ago, and a new character has shown her face.

I have on in the works. But its on the way back-burner for now. Plus, i really cant start on it till i get back from Gen-Con. Going for a Horus Heresy theme to it(Twilight getting the books, plus everything to play the game, and i mean everything). How she gets all that, ties in with the story im doing now.
