I’d rather think of Monster’s Inc., except the doors don’t lead to bedrooms, but the dreams themselves. Granted, they are arranged in Matrix fashion. Look at the doors. They are all different and unique… likely in the form of the bedroom door of every pony Luna watches over.

I’ve never seen Matrix beyond the pills scene, so this image for me initially was “This hallway with two rows of doors in Bloom and Gloom is a reference to an ordinary hallway with two rows of doors. Like one you can see in an administrative building”.
