That’s all well and good.
 
But this is Twilight.

1000 years is over 500 million minutes. It would have taken multiple lifetimes to plan all that out. Even counting to 500 million would take about 50 years, if she spent free moment not spent eating, sleeping, or using the toilet, to do nothing but counting. Twi either did the most horrible job planning in the history of ever or she’s lying.
 
And even if she could fit one hour’s worth of planning on a single page, printing on both sides, that book would be 4,383,000 pages long. Taking into account the average sheet of 80 gsm A4 paper is 0.088 mm thick and weighs 5 grams, that book (not counting the size of the impossible 3 ring binder she has it in) would be about 385.7 meters thick and weigh 21,915 kg. I think.
 
And since when is Chrysalis immortal?

Huh, I just noticed – apparently ponies in Equestria have figured out who the Mane Six are if they’re being allowed to see a dangerous prisoner. At least they finally got some recognition for saving the country, what is it, four or five times by now?

If she was only smiling while talking about Chrysalis’ imprisonment because she got to make a plan, what’s not to say she’s only concerned there because her plan isn’t going according to plan and not because she actually cares about Chrysalis?

Okay, the whole “sadistic delight”thing is pushing it a bit. Twilight was going through the details in her normal hyper-detailed manner and actually showed legitimate concern for Chrysalis’ well-being on page 2.

Anyway. I’d side with Kappe. Not denying that Chrysalis is to be considered evil in MLP (though I admit that using terms “good” and “evil” for me personally feels somewhat primitive) but that sadistic delight of Twilight is just so… wrong. She’s a princess of friendship for fuck’s sake! Not princess of GULags or tortures.

There’s a lot of bronies arguing she isn’t evil, though, that “A Canterlot Wedding” was grey vs. grey morality. And if you’re saying she invaded Canterlot solely to find food for her subjects because she had no other alternative, then you’re casting the episodes in a grey vs. grey light as well.

Lions don’t orchestrate a mass incarceration program for every Gazelle in Africa. Scorpions don’t plan mass extermination and internment campaigns to harvest all the frogs forever. She;s more like the fungus that grows in ant brians, and turns them into giant mass death weaponry against other ants.
