Ignoring the entire issue of morality here, the comic is wrong simply because we’ve seen Twilight in the show and she is bloody trigger-happy!
 
She beat the crap out of Tirek, gunned down at least a dozen newly born clones, quick drew on the cheap recolor of her mom running equal town, will blast her own assistant hard enough to send her house flying and gives no bucks whenever she accidentally hurts people with her magic. This comic is a load of bull because the show has proven to us Twilight will blast anyone for any reason.

But their not equestrian twilight label them eastern. I thought that meant they were no longer in the country like north and south america or the Koreas

Maybe she would have had to wait until Starlight declared her cult a sovereign nation before blasting her.

For anyone who says that Twilight was aiming for the vault and not Starlight, I want to point out something: Even if this is true, these episodes still invalidate that shitty comic arc, because if those comics had been canon, Twilight would have just shrugged and let Starlight continue to run her cult/dictatorship because Starlight is a “Legal citizen of Equestria”.

Of course he did. If burning down the whole town and killing ponies was his goal he could have just done that. But instead he burnt down an empty barn because killing the townsponies would have been counter-intuitive to his goal, which was to exploit them by repeatedly robbing them. And you can only rob a dead pony once.

Let’s start with Longhorn burning the barn  
Do you think he checked to make sure nopony was in it before hand?  
Do you think he cared if anyone died in that fire?  
I sure as hell don’t and you’re going to and tell me he wasn’t endangering lives with that act especially when he so smugly says to AJ “It’d be a terrible if anything else happened while you were staying here” afterwards very obviously threatening her
 
Then there’s the stampede I don’t care if the put dialog saying no one was hurt that’s still endangering ponies
 
Now let’s look at the ending when Longhorn has had enough of fooling around with our protagonists what does he do?  
He grabs Rarity be the hair and says-and I am quoting straight from the comic here-“Everybody off my property…or I’m going to have to hurt the lady” he is most certainly threatening bodily harm on someone in a very clearly non-comical way  
Now this is just speculation on my part but I can’t help but imagine he’s going to beat the shit out of her that even if she was still alive she would be disfigured if not crippled
 
And you’re still going to try to convince me there’s nothing in the story that shows him not endangering ponies?
