i agree with most of your point,
The main appeal of Disrek for some people IS the unhealthiness and potential abuse and manipulation.
We all need to balance out the sunshine with the rain sometimes.

I’m an a v i d shipper of both almost eaqually,
Disrek because it’s my vent-Ship, Tirek is manipulative and would DEFINITELY be abusive in a long-term relationship Discord couldn’t leave, (he literally choked him Twilight’s Kingdom).
Fluttercord because Beauty and the Beast except the Beast has a sense of humor, they have such chemistry in the show and it’s such a comfort ship, Discord loves Fluttershy so much. 🥰

Discord talks Celestia into letting him and Fluttershy try to convert him to the good side. Tirek has the full intention of fooling them over and taking their magic, but eventually begins to accept the ways of friendship, even with a few tantrums. Tirek learns that Discord and Flutters are in an open relationship and the two invite him to join. FlutterTirekCord ftw

That’s because there are only females in that show. And Discord was not only very playfull toward Shining Armor but also replaced Fluttershy with Tirek, basically. I doubt he is gay, though. Types like Discord are either full pansexual(because Chaos) or entirely asexual(because he is the only of his kind and doesn’t need reproductive organs)

Sorry, I just think he’s not gay, because there were many DiscordxFemale scenes in the show. I meant that Discord and Tirek can’t love each other, because Tirek only used Discord to steal magic.
