No, lifting something with magic have nothing to do with physical strength, it’s more a mental thing in that case, so are your question if people are retarded, well if you can’t tall that something controlled by the mind alone has nothing to do with the muscles in the rest of your body then if anyone is retarded here then so are you.
What Fan said.
I’m usually regarded as the “smart guy” whenever I’m in groups with peers, so I tend to act slightly more condescending than I realize at the moment.
That being said, I grew up in a predominantly working-class rural background, so I sorta realize my “limits.”
Twilight grew up in freakin’ Canterlot, so I’d imagine the communication being a bit foggy.
As long as people try to and eventually achieve in becoming “one with the herd,” then it’s mostly good.
I’m pretty sure the ability to lift weights with magic (or project power in general) is irrelevant when you aren’t using magic. Which is kind of… the point of the picture.
@Fenwolf2003: Actually, I see a lot of myself in Twilight. That blend of unthinking arrogance and conscious humility can come from knowing you’re smarter than most people and being raised to not make a big deal of it. You want to help people, but it’s embarrassingly difficult to accurately estimate someone else’s mental faculties. Sometimes you come off as naive because you overestimate their capability, sometimes as condescending because you underestimate. It’s… tricky, to say the least.
…I’m sorry, are people retarded? Uh yeah, I kinda saw the show, I saw it was with magic. But this is a strength test. Magic counts as strength, no matter how you look at it. If I can benchpress 300 pounds, and you could use magic to life 3000, you’d be stronger. The end.
And @Prof
You can tell how much effort she puts it by the glow of her magic, there was no more than usual.
The bear and dam where with MAGIC, not the same as this, also how do you know she didn’t breaking a sweat with the dam, she had a mask that covered her whole head.
…that’s kinda a dumb point. That’s like saying “AJ is really strong, unless you cut her throat, stab her or she loses concentration”. You can explain away any strength really with that.
@Trotsky
She’s a weird mix of humble and incredibly ‘smug’. She obviously does look down on people, by her looking down on Pinkie in Baby Cakes, loving to lecture even Gods and buying books to tell AJ how to do her job better.
I used to really quite like her, but she’s too OP for me nowadays and just quite irritating most of the time.
Also, since I write fanfics, she’s incredibly hard to use and keep her incharacter. If she’s around in a hard situation, it just seems like she’d swat it aside without a problem.
@Fen
I mostly agree. Her flaws are either very minor or “weekly,” so she doesn’t have many limitations.
It’s a good thing she’s humble, otherwise she’d be my least favorite of the mane 6.
It’s cute and all, and I love AJ and Dash being together, but Twi is OP as fuck, she lifted a 50 foot bear and later on lifted a whole dam without breaking a sweat z.z
Pegasus physique and the thing that if you want to fly and be able to do tricks you can’t really go overboard with the muscle mass.

It’s not hard to notice these things.
…With magic (telekinese?).
In this image, it’s only about muscular strenght.
