Oh, I don’t especially care either way; hell, now that Scrub is posting again I’m going to be keeping a real close eye on the tag just to see if he can pull something off with this narrative. All I’m saying is that, from my perspective, Saltine’s presence and motivations are by a significant margin the weakest part of this blog. Rarity being an insane dictator was annoying but it made some narrative sense and had a degree of tragedy to it. Saltine’s addition to the story added nothing and in fact negated the good parts of Rarity’s possession, and made Sweetie’s battle with her less a conflict of liberation vs conformity and more a generic world conquest story. It’s hard to argue for fetish logic when it takes itself too seriously and not seriously enough at once.
