Desc is inaccurate; that cover art is used in US covers. Japanese version had mini versions of the cast line up, IIRC.

I like Twilight as Crono, Rarity I think would be a villain her personality doesn’t really fit a playable character’s so Dalton or Queen Zeal or Flea, AJ as Robo since the forest thing, Lucca Rainbow because of element and mentality to hit things to get them to work, Pinkie as Ayla, NMM/Luna as Magus/Janus, Marle would be Fluttershy and Zecora would be Frog

Agreed. I own the SNES, PS1, and DS versions of the game. It is a fantastic game, and I would never get tired of playing through it.
 
So… Who would you cast the Mane 6 as? And, if they are not the 6+1 protagonists, who would take those spots?

Yes, she is using fire. No, she is not Lucca. On the original japanese cover, they accidentally had Marle using Fire magic instead of Ice magic. I kept the error intact when I ponified the image. It was Marle on the original cover, so Pinkie is Marle here.
