No, I got your point. You’d think mechs would look like the species that designed them. But we’re never going to build a humanoid combat machine. If we ever produce mechs, they’ll be closer to arthropods.
 
Ponies have the magic to make a simple biped practical, so they would probably settle on that design. Although it really would be easier to go with a quad. :/

Zombie, we’re never going to build a humanoid combat machine. Nothing bigger than powered armor, anyway.
 
Besides, theirs would probably be powered by magic anyways.
