Letting people enjoy their ships would mean not making comments continually on images to express how much you dislike shipping and/or don’t agree with it. If you don’t have a problem with people liking it, then why the need to say anything? It’s not going to change the way people think, it’s just going to annoy people, and a lot of times it’s plain inconsiderate. If people give you a hard time if you comment on something in a way that appreciates it for being platonic, then they’re doing the same to you, and I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t like it.
 
Like what you like, and ignore what you don’t, and show other people the same courtesy.

I do let them enjoy their ‘ships, it’s just that it’s getting impossible to find any pics of these 2 (or other characters) that aren’t ‘shipping. It’s not like I’m going, “ZOMG STOP ‘SHIPPING!” I just think the fanbase is to obsessed with it sometimes, or fetishize it to much. That’s all I said. But whatever floats their boat.
 
I respect that people can like their ‘ships, but shouldn’t people respect that I don’t care much for ‘shipping personally? I’m not completely against it, I’ll even admit some ‘shippy pics are well-drawn. I’m just a li’l burnt out on it.
 
I also think platonic friendships/relationships need love to.

Like I said, let people who enjoy the ships enjoy them. If you don’t want to see them as more then friends, then don’t, it’s not like they’ve kissed or anything or even been shown to be living together, so you can stubbornly see them as “just friends” as much as you want to. Some people enjoy it, and they should be able to.

To be honest, I hate to complain, but I’d rather not have fanon ‘ships become canon. (They weren’t even trying to be subtle in “Rainbow Rocks.”)
 
Plus, some fans actually do prefer portraying Lyra & Bonbon as just platonic friends, so it kinda spoils that for them. (And honestly, the fanbase has kinda flanderized them with said pairing.)  
Not that I hate ‘shipping, but I sometimes wish the brony fanbase wasn’t so obsessed with it.
