Rarity looks like the humanoid characters from the moomins. That would be an odd crossover.
Heh. Too obvious, but on the off chance this ain’t b8, consider all other possible reasons this could have been downvoted: An unappealing style, characters who is difficult to identify, them funkyass fleck marks on the faces, or them terrifying eyes.
Holding diverse images beyond criticism hinders growth of those artists and means we keep gettin…this.
While down voting itself is not a racist or sexist act there can be racist and sexist motives behind it but You could argue that it is being downvoted because the characters have absolutely no resemblance to who they are supposed to be in show, it is impossible to tell.
You do know Derpibooru doesn’t represent the entire brony community, right? For that matter not every user on this site votes on images. I don’t vote on every image personally.
Seriously, people like you who constantly accuse all bronies, or all the people here on Derpibooru of being racist, or whatever, are no better at generalizing, then those who actually are racist, and generalize others.
Only, you’re not generalizing on race, your generalizing people based on their “fandom.” How is that any better?

Holy shit, I wasn’t aware that the dozen people who downvoted this make up 100% of the fandom.
We aren’t that bad, it’s mostly the same group of jerks who do stuff like this, most others just pass it over for not being their thing,

You can blame Meph for getting people to hate it by posting the worst over and over again.
… then an image gets a downvoted into the basement because, in a fandom that roles around in vore, scat, and rape images happily and giddily, someone dares to post humanized images of the characters as members of a different culture and religion.
This quickly helps me remember that the fandom is made up mostly of juveniles and populated by Anons who are are really, really awful people at heart, and that I’m the idiot for having dared to believe any different.
It’s subtle but there’s actually a difference to the Mane 6’s eye shapes.
Cup Cake, Fleur-de-Lis, Allie way and Sapphire Shores would like to have a word.
All of the female adults in the entire show are identical physically save for their hairstyle. It’s sort of one of the hallmarks of the FiM style and the MLP style at large because of its basis as a show based on toys all poured into the same mold. Drawing them as humans lets you diverge away from that.
It’s unfortunately way too sexy, I guess.
oh wait that is Rarity, must have been tired or something.
Although when I see a humanized Rarity, I kinda expect to see ya know… her hair. Which is one of her biggest unique physical features. Nobody else in the show has Rarity’s mane last I checked.
The dude with the tail-thing is Spike while he’s sitting next to some chick.
