Helps that Faith-Wolff makes such vibrant pictures so everyone knows exactly what character A looks like from the start, so the imagination can churn a bit more than usual for the story’s age because artists have something physical to base their pictures off?

Author here. I know some of the fanart was commissions by fan named IceStormy, but actually most of the recent stuff has just been artistic readers willingly having a go at it. I haven’t commissioned zilch myself.
 
I guess because the G-fandom is both widespread but relatively lower key than other fandoms in how much fan works they churn out, they tend to support continued projects a lot. Least that’s what I’ve seen on TohoKingdom. Right now Bridge is the largest of its particular crossover, so that and the featured slots it gets upon release I guess caused a lot of word of mouth to get spread around.

so why is this fic getting so damn much fanart made of it? is this another case of one person with a lot of money commissioning stuff?
 
I’m not complaining, mind, it’s just weird to see this much art from a fic that isn’t super hugely popular like FOE.
