Peter Cullen’s Optimus has always been stoic.
One that doesn’t have merch yet still eventually will, so it still generates a desire for merchandise that you will be providing. As for the movie toylines, I have no idea why they do it the way they do. Maybe it’s a scheduling thing. All I know is that I don’t want to get my hopes up and wind up getting hurt again.
You realize the way you are putting it doesn’t make sense.
You say they won;t support a series that no longer had merchandise, by that logic why support one that is running but doesn’t have any merchandise out yet?
And the toys based on the movies stay on the shelves longer then it’s run in theaters and even after they stop adverting it on home video, so what’s the point of pushing them anymore?
I never said they only want one. Generations is the “actually important” line, the one that everybody’s supposed to love, and now it’s tying in with the comics that have gone on for over a decade now and have been quite well-recieved themselves. Of course they don’t want to mess with that.
And I’d imagine Rescue Bots will last until either it fails to make money or they decide it’s time to do something different with the preschool Transformers toys, and either way it’s not likely to intersect with the movies.
But there’s only so much shelf space, and they’ve never made movie toys and cartoon toys simultaneously, so draw what conclusions you will from that. And given the whole “To sell toys” thing, I’d be surprised if they supported a series which no longer had merchandise to move.
Sorry but the way you are talking makes it seem more like you just want a reason to bitch about Hasbro and Cartoon Network.
And I remember the Prime toys coming out with the DotM ones.
And anyway if you really think they only want one TF toy line out at a time then explain the Generations line.
*wouldn’t bet on.
I’ll be shocked, since that would mean they let the cartoon keep going after the toyline was over. (As opposed to Prime, which was going while DotM was in theaters but didn’t get a toyline until DotM’s was done. They probably felt they needed a big name to prop up the Hub when it was starting, and couldn’t possibly have predicted how Ponies would explode, if I had to guess why Prime didn’t get pushed around by DotM.)
I meant to have the word “probably” in there, I guess it didn’t make it from my brain to my fingers. Obviously the future isn’t written yet, so in theory, anything could happen. But some outcomes look likelier than others, like for example I wouldn’t be on any version of Transformers being turned into an award-winning Broadway musical. (Though I wouldn’t mind being wrong about that.)
>Plus it’ll get thrown out when the next movie rolls around anyways
And if it’s not, like Prime wasn’t thrown out for Dark of the Moon?
I’m gonna be skeptical about the change until I actually see it happen.
Plus it’ll get thrown out when the next movie rolls around anyways, so either way, probably best not to get attached.
It’s not like CN is under a new head ether, so only time will tell.
Stop labeling it as screwed over before the even the premier airs.
Yeah, it’s not like Cartoon Network will completely screw it over like they did to four other Transformers shows already.

They still have Rescue Bots, as far as I know.
Honestly, that would be a good idea.
If I were in charge, I would have done a CN/Adult Swim-type dual-branding approach, i.e. keep daytime branded as The Hub, but switch to DF during the evenings.
me: I doubt there’s a reason to be hysterical about it anyways.
Rex: Should we be histerical?
Slinky: No.
Potato head: Yes!
me: MAYBE!! But not right now.
*doesn’t
That really don’t make sense…
so much for applejack not having living parents.
so much for dash’s father disappearing, or being single.
so much for single people getting any recognition or respect ever.
so much for no canon boyfriends.
so much for not torturing us every single opportunity with a happiness we can never have since it is an unreachable extreme contrived by a dying culture to fool us into thinking the world is a good place to bring kids into.
family sucks.
Yes, didn’t you hear? They’ll be replacing it with Discovery Family.
Though personally, I prefer the title of “The Hub.” Discovery Family just doesn’t have the ring to it or feel as welcoming as “The Hub” does for some reason.
