Not saying your choice is bad, but I think a better song would be Bowser Jr’s theme from Super Mario Galaxy.

Changed my mind, I’m using Lemmy.

I use Iggy more for Bowser Jr., due to his insanity matching the weapons perfectly.

I enjoy whenever they do references, but I just feel some alternate costumes would do more justice than a color swap. Kinda like some in Project M.

Y’know, in regards to that, I’m surprised they didn’t bring back her flower decals, and earings that she had in Melee, which made it easier to pretend she was Daisy.  
(Considering they went through the trouble to make completely different outfits/looks for other characters. Or in regards to Olimar, Wii Fit Trainter, Robin, and Bowser Jr. entire different characters/genders you cans swap.)
 
Surprisingly, alot of the character alternate color/costume schemes reference something.

That’s part of the reason I like playing Peach, the sheer incongruity of the girly princess character being a racer/fighter/ballplayer/etc. (It doesn’t hurt that she’s arguably the best pitcher in Mario Superstar Baseball…)

I wouldn’t mind a Daisy character swap for Peach. I’ve always prefered her over Peach, and having her in a fighting game I just think would be so fitting, since she’s a tomboy.
 
Plus, they’re not really different enough to have unique movesets, so Daisy being a costume would make sense.

Yeah, the Koopalings have had a surge in popularity ever sense they were brought back in NewSMBWii, (I admit I always prefered them over “Junior,” as well) and it was a clever way to include them without taking up 7 character spots. Sense every character gets 8 alternate color/costume schemes, it was clever indeed.  
Best of all, they even have their own voices, and the announcer actually calls them by name, to keep them accurate.
 
I also like how you can switch Olimar with Alph. (The Pikmin 3 star.)  
I still think they should’ve had a Dry Bowser costume for Bowser, Metal Sonic for Sonic, and a Mrs. Pac Man costume, as well.

I was biased about Bowser Jr. at first (since there were already a lot of Mario characters), but I must admit he’s actually really fun to fight with.
 
Plus, having the Koopalings as alternate costumes was a stroke of genius!

Bowser Jr./Koopaling is actually very fun to play as, I like the Mecha-Koopa summon attack, and wacky gadget attacks their Koopa Clown mech has.
