Ah, but remember Tommy went from 6th/Green/White Ranger to Red Zeo Ranger.

IMO Shimmer replaces Twilight as sort of main-girl (leader?) of the Human Mane 6 at the end of EQG2. And plus, her color motif is “Red” so Red Ranger just makes a whole more sense to me.
