Well you’ve got the changing state of the status quo, varied interests, varied personalities; it makes the whole ‘relationship’ factor, for some, far more trouble than it’s worth. This becomes especially true for certain locations where there might be more guys than girls, or they might be generally very friendly, and looked to as friends as a result, rather than relationship-material. That said, again, to some, it’s far more trouble than it’s worth.
 
Heck, that’s why some just grab roofies and hit the bars: All the ‘benefit’, none of the commitment or feeling of wasted time if it doesn’t work out. Naturally, this applies to those who DON’T develop a physical and social attraction to someone in particular. It’s more a concept for those who just look to the short-term feeling of fulfillment.
