Reading between the lines is that the device actually is what it says, perhaps fancier than what anyone really needs, but it’s not snake oil. But it still gives the brothers enough of an “out” to con the Apples later, it’s not a reformation.

Well, the SSCS6K worked just fine until they disabled quality control. The health tonic was baloney, yes, but at least it wasn’t actively harmful like what human snake oil salesman pushed. I’d say give them the benefit of the doubt, so long as the little widget was reasonably priced.

Pathetic Failure
Vinyl and Octavia are getting closer and closer. Perhaps they will finally interact in canon. I’m not expecting them to be anything more than friends, though. And I’m okay with it.
