Ah.
Ya but I think he also slipped by putting Baby Looney Tunes with Rescue Bots, I know kids that have seen both and enjoy Rescue Bots but not Baby Looney Tunes, they enjoy Adventure Time and Gravity Falls even more but still.

@Prof.NightJack
No, not putting Adventure Time and Gravity Falls on the same level as each other, that’s fine. I meant putting either of them on the same level as Baby Looney Tunes. I assume Baby Looney Tunes was intended for a much younger audience and not every kids’ show can be put on the same level like that as there are vastly different age groups between Sesame Street and Adventure Time. To me a kids’ show can be awesome for any age, but something for the 2-5 age range just isn’t going to be something older people will really ever enjoy.

Wait, you’re putting Adventure Time and Gravity Falls on the same level? I thought you meant really little kids, if you just mean kids in general than Baby Looney Tunes is an inexcusable abomination and a complete and total piece of fucking shit! Kids should watch the real Looney Tunes, not this abomination. If you were going to say that it’s for Sesame Street age kids than fine, but for the same group of people that watch Adventure Time and SpongeBob? Fuck no, I hated it when I was that age. Making a cartoon for the 7-10 demographic might be slightly hard, but it’s not impossible at all and it’s complete bullshit that it can only come in the amazing or garbage categories because there are a lot of okay ones out there. This is a shitty one, though.

And no, they didn’t try at all and did talk down to their audience. :P

Ok i’m really tired so i’m just going to end this conversion with this. You are right that Baby Looney Tunes is a bad show, But the show doesn’t treat it’s audiance like idiots (Dora the Explorer) so that shows that Warner Brothers at least tried to make a good show, they may have failed horribly but they tried. Honestly it’s really hard to make a good kids show, it can either be amazing (MLP, Adventure Time, Gravity Falls) or it can be complete garbage (Modern Spongebob, Sanjay and Craig, Breadwinners) So if you think Baby Looney Tunes is bad and doesn’t need to exist well your probably right, but it does exist and we can’t do anything about it.
Background Pony #DACB
Oh yeah, I just remembered what site I’m on. FiM is for kids and that’s still good. Baby Looney Tunes has no excuse. :P

@Background Pony #8C0B
If it’s going to be for kids it can still be good, though. Baby Looney Tunes is just bad. It’s not like it even has any educational value or anything so you may as well just show the actual shorts instead of that crap.

I never said it was good, and like i said the show’s reason to exist is to entertain small children while Duck Dodger’s reason to exist was to entertain older fans. It’s kind of like Transformers where hasbro has Transformers Rescue Bots to entertain small children, while they also had Transformers Prime to entertain the older fans. So while those shows aren’t very good, their not meant for us it’s really just for the kids.

Eh i don’t really understand why that show gets so much hate, like Prof.NightJack said it’s a nice little throwback to dc superheroes. Is it the best Looney Tunes spin off hell no, but i do think it’s an ok show that doesn’t deserve the hate it has.
Background Pony #E19C
To be fair Baby Looney Tunes was really just a show for small children who probably never heard of Looney Tunes to enjoy, while older Looney Tunes fans had duck dodgers to enjoy.

Or the godawful abomination that was Baby Looney Tunes. I’m not saying it’s the worst the Looney Tunes have ever been, but it was hit and miss with way more misses than hits, in my opinion.

@nicktoonhero
Not really, like I said most of them were made for Laff Riot. I just remembered that the Sylvester, Tweety and Taz moment was also storyboarded for that. Also, it really shows when a moment was originally made for Laff Riot because the animation becomes funnier and more expressive when it was. All of the moments I originally thought might have been when I watched it ended up being confirmed to have been. The few slapstick moments that the TLTS crew did feel forced, lifeless, and unfunny.

Honestly, two of the music videos (The Wizard and Chintzy) are funny to me and Chintzy even matches the spirit of the original Looney Tunes with the faces and humor, but the problem was the show itself had none of that. I honestly feel like their might be talented people working on it who had some of the dumbest restrictions placed on them ever. That’s why I’m looking forward to Wabbit, but The Looney Tunes Show was just a missed opportunity and a failure to me. I think I’ve seen every episode except the Superman one (because I just didn’t care about that) and I’m saying honestly having watched it that there are far too few cartoony moments.
Background Pony #DACB
@nicktoonhero
The fact that you have to make a list of cartoony moments in fucking Looney Tunes is the problem, though and the list is way too small for that. I’m not saying cartoony moments don’t exist or that you couldn’t edit together a bunch of clips to make the show look better than it is, but the vast majority is that sitcom shit. It’s Looney Tunes, the whole thing needs to be cartoony the whole way through regardless if they’re talking or anything.

(On a side note, the Sylvester sequence with the red dots was easily the best animated and most funny part in basically the whole show, but it was originally made for a different show that never saw the light of day called Looney Tunes Laff Riot. They just repurposed it into their dumb sitcom show. The entire episode where Bugs and Daffy fight over the girl, complete with slapstick, good animation, funny faces, and jokes that are actually looney was also made for that. None of the people who worked on that had anything to do with The Looney Tunes Show outside of their work being repurposed and the quality of those two episodes says nothing about the rest of the show.)

Really now, because I can list a lot more examples than that:

  • After losing a game show, Bugs and Daffy get hurled into the ceiling, where they remained there for the rest of the scene
  • While trying to get away from the police, Bugs and Daffy get struck by lightning, breaking their handcuffs
  • When going on vacation, Bugs and Daffy travel by burrowing to their destination like they did in “Ali Baba Bunny”
  • When Daffy tries to dive into a swimming pool, Bugs drains all the water, creating a crushing impact
  • As Daffy relaxes in a sauna, Bugs cranks up the heat, resulting in Daffy becoming a baby duck
  • Sylvester and Tweety get chased around by Taz while Bugs, Daffy, and Granny have a talk
  • Yosemite Sam explodes into confetti when he obtains a precious artifact
  • Bugs creates a time machine to solve a mess that Daffy got himself into, earlier he decided to go back to the rabbit hole he lived in the classic shorts
  • Daffy uses Porky as a bowling ball while practicing for a big game
  • Daffy’s duck bill reduction surgery
  • Daffy uses a military tank to deliver pizza at some point
  • Bugs, under the influence of a very addictive drink, gets into a chase from Daffy involving day to day objects like staplers and copy machines
  • Bugs destroys his entire house attempting to get a shelf up for his new trophy
  • Sylvester hallucinates that the environments around him are covered in red dots

    And this only the examples I can come up with in Season 1.

The problem is the three slapstick moments you listed are almost all of the moments in the entire show. Looney Tunes has always been Tom and Jerry level with its slapstick, the only difference is the Looney Tunes also talk in addition to that.

Most of the episodes really are things like Daffy Duck going to a high school reunion and Pork moving into a new apartment, the moments that take advantage of being a cartoon are few and far between.
