That’s actually very very similar to a fanfic that I was trying to write. A group of tinkerers at an old train depot find a boxcar full of morale-boosting singing robots built in Sweetie Belle’s image, one of which has a broken horn-antenna. They manage to get her fixed up, but in doing so send out a signal to reactivate all the thousands of other Sweetie Bot units scattered in cargo trucks and train cars and department stores across Equestria.

These Sweetie Bots, it seems, were not merely morale-boosting singing robots, but part of a clandestine wartime initiative called “Project Carillon,” whereby megaspells could be cast by teams of robotic spell replicators synchronized by radio and “singing” in unison.

Great, now I’m imagining a party finding a Sweetie Bot who later finds the rest of the stash in time for the Climactic Battle. Leading to a horde of Sweetie Bots attacking. Or a… actually, a story like Robo’s extra bit (Chrono Trigger) with Sweetie Bots might be pretty interesting.
