They certainly could have tried to negotiate a composition that didn’t leave half of the frame practically blank!
I mean, really. The vanishing point, which the eye is naturally drawn to, is about the only interesting thing right of the orange pony.

Anatomy seems good, and the landscape and structures in the picture are alright, but the bad character design (or choice of characters, as the case may be) and awful composition really ruin this piece.
