@Background Pony #CE9F
That’s a line you could stand to adopt for yourself.
deal with it
This image went two whole months without any drama erupting in the comments, then OF COURSE a BP had to start stirring drama because he doesn’t like Flash Sentry.
And by the way, BP #A194? Learn proper grammar and spelling. You’ve missed spelled several words, and not one of your comments has a single apostrophe in it.
Not really, no. Blueblood’s a one-note jerk, Flash is a one-note nice guy. If anything, they’re opposite extremes and have about the same amount of depth. But Flash is more likely to get legit development in the actual show, whereas any development Blueblood might get is limited to fanfiction.
@Background Pony #2B21
Not really, no. In fact, I’ve actually seen a couple fanfics that Cheerilee started to legitimately fall in love with Big Mac, but she was afraid to say anything because she thought that it was just residue from the love poison.
Wow, you just don’t get it, do you.
Let’s break it down:
– Cheerilee and Big McIntosh are good friends, but don’t have a “special somepony”
– The CMC scheme to get them together
– Cheerilee and Big McIntosh end up going on a picnic in response to that scheme
– Within a few months, they’re seen walking together, and Cheerilee swoons at Big McIntosh’s singing.
You’re arguing that the middle two having nothing to do with the transition from the first point to the last point; apparently it was just a freaky coincidence the CMC interfered right at the point when their relationship was about to start getting romantic?
sure thing, even now they holding gun against her head and force her to like BigMac
They were friends before that episode. If they develop a romantic relationship, it will be because of the CMC forcing them together in that episode.
The message of this episode was never about them not getting together, they grow closer after that and became friends and still may grow closer(and by seeing how Cheerilee reacted in Filli Vanilli is at least one sided ship already). The message was about not forcing anyone in general. It doesnt mean she cant favor him by her own will. Your argument to bring on convention against Meghan, when they become canon is very weak.
Well, aside from the FlutterMac shippers, you’re probably about right; I get the feeling the vast majority of the fandom wants CheeriMac to happen specifically to invalidate the moral of “Hearts and Hooves Day” and validate their own OTPs.
You wont even gather 10 people in fandom to go against cheerimac and they are most canon pair in the show right after FlashLight
@Background Pony #CE9F
you may not like it but its true
>Blueblood
>more depth than Flash
The moment anyone says this, their credibility turns to absolute mud.
You do realize that when people complained about Jar Jar, George Lucas not only reduced the character’s role in future movies, but also made the guy responsible for the creation of the Empire, right?
I don’t see that BP suggesting anything nearly that drastic.
@Background Pony #A194
I’ll be leading the protests against CheeriMac, not because I don’t want romance in the show (which is mostly true) or because of FlutterMac (which I don’t really care about), but because it would completely and irrevocably destroy the very heart of “Hearts and Hooves Day” (the episode, not the holiday). I probably wouldn’t like FlutterCord either, mainly because I’m tired of the assumption that if two people are friends, there’s got to be a romantic/sexual component of the relationship, but it’s possible the writers could make it work anyway.
As for Dreamy Cutebottom, he probably has almost as much depth as Blueblood (gets flustered enough around Twilight to walk into the door, joins her in her dorky pony dance rather than pulling her up in a standard human dance). Still a bad idea to put in a character specifically to be a vague “love interest” for a character from another dimension where she’s a different species, but to be honest, they haven’t done anything with him yet that would cause me to get all worked up over him.
@Poptard
There’s definite evidence of attraction between pony Twilight and human Flash, but only the vaguest of possible hints that Twilight feels anything towards pony Flash, and nothing at all regarding how Flash feels towards this princess that keeps bumping into him.
Well maybe we should see how this fucking goes before the anthrax is mailed.
dowod
While making more Alicorns, burning library and creatin castles and Rainbow Power might be considered as risky decisons. Creating a bland character with only purpose being a boyfriend of main heroine is nothing more than bad writing. Just like fandom have right to protest against transporting humans and their technology into Equestria, they have right to protest against controversial characters. You will never see such outburst toward Cheerimac or Fluttercord if they would be canon because those characters are developed and were established BEFORE someone had idea to ship it. Only die hard fans who love everything they see will not complain about Flash. There is nothing good to be said about him. Even most tolerant You Tube analysist and reviers like Dr Wolf cant handle him as a shipping material. Blueblood have more depth than him.
The show will lose more fans from obnoxious whiners that are needlessly rude than from risky deecisions the writers make. Lest we risk them throwing their hands up, and the pencil down.
If writers reacted to fandom criticism then Jar Jar Bink would not exist in Star Wars. People who dont want Sentry arent anti shippers or waifufags of Twilight. They are majority who see with their own eyes that this character is a definition of a word “suck”. They want him in seventh circle of hell along with Jar Jar.
The hell? The show is one of the few that bother to have continuity and the same can’t even be said about the fans because they can’t handle something they might not like or having a slight bit of contoversy?! That’s incredibly childish. Apparently moreso than this cartoon, for children! Fans with integrity is one of the reasons i am one. I don’t wanna see what happens to this show if they can’t take risks because of some mueling from the loud minority of fans. How do you think that would make writers feel, man?
Only in EQ universe that could be true. But since everyone act like id dint happen in FiM we cant say for sure that shes attracted to him.
That’s speculation (they “might” still be attracted to each other) vs. actual material (these two “do” shown signs of attraction to each other). In all cases, the latter always wins out until directly contradicted.
Its not canon. Meghan may reverse it if shes influenced by the fandom. Sunset Shimmer may end up with Flash in Rainbow Rocks
But Opinion is Fact, and if you don’t know fact then you, uh, could go back to school.
