That’s a broad assumption. The humans are usually (not always) the abusers, yes. But there’s plenty of previous evidence to suggest that fluffies can’t be trusted to be intelligent around spaghetti. They will eat spaghetti at every presented opportunity, right down to obvious traps and engineered horror.

Imagine a moment that the owner puts out the bowl of spaghetti, telling Kyle not to eat it all for himself. Most wild fluffies would ignore such an order to their own detriment, but Kyle being an actual living pet should be trained in obedience.

Owner brings the homeless fluffies, as a gesture of kindness to them and perhaps to give Kyle some company, to discover that Kyle got greedy and ate all the spaghetti. The owner knows who did it, of course, and gives some psychological punishment as he is forced to explain to the homeless fluffies without implicating Kyle (fluffies that are hungry enough will resort to cannibalism, and anger might hasten this reaction) and send them away.

Kyle feels guilty for his greed and learns how lucky he is to not be starving on the street. Harsh? Sure. Plausible? Absolutely.

Why though? the whole thing was engineered by his insane owner. He could always feed the fluffy family something else, but he chose not to because he wanted them to suffer. This is Fluffy Abuse, always assume everything is in the name of causing deliberate suffering.

Agreed. I wish more abuse was like this.

Granted, I also wish more fluffy pony grimdark didn’t have as much human-on-fluffy abuse, but if it does come up I wish it was more like this.

I also vouch that MixerMike didn’t make fluffy pony. The first fluffy pony thing was written on December 9th, 2011. Even if MixerMike got fluffle puff out just a bit before then, I still don’t think we can say he had any influence in fluffy ponies in any way.

I’m just wondering.
When did the idea for Fluffy Ponies to be the most abused thing in the fandom.
I mean the guy who started didn’t have any abuse in fact he keeps going on with his blog with no abuse!
Orangecraz

Well, there are two ways to view this:

  1. Kyle was told that bowl was for someone else, and the owner had no idea he had eaten it (or does and is playing stupid). (punishment)
  2. Kyle had no idea who it was for (or was even told he could have some) and the owner is doing this in a sick attempt to amuse himself. (abuse)

Which do you think it was?

To be fair, Kyle is being selfish and the owner is trying to guilt trip him for it.
