This was my childhood, I know its not exactly a traditional Star Fox game but it was still nice to play as Fox outside an arwing for a change, plus exploring a planet of dinosaurs what’s not to like about that? And it was the last thing Rare worked on before moving to XBox and then killing their company. It was a decent change of pace and nothing wrong with that (I mean they did make Assault later after all)

There are quite a few of us out there, believe it, or not.
(In fact, the original SNES game was a Player’s Choice/Million Seller game. I still have my SNES cartridge BTW from when I was a kid.)

I actually did see AX the arcade game in an arcade in an amusement park once when I lived briefly in Arizona. I hear they’re very rare nowadays. Some hackers actually discovered the arcade game is hidden in F-Zero GX’s game code within the game disc, but is otherwise inaccessible without a hacking device.

“Andy Summer” was only canon in the anime’ continuity. (Which is different from the games.) In the game canon, his orgins are mostly “shrouded in mystery.” Though, the SNES game manual (which I still have to this day in decent shape) stated he comes from Port Town.

Funny thing is, some fans speculate the “modern” Captain Falcon is Rick Wheeler, due to what happened in the anime’ finale, and because of his voice sounding a li’l different from earlier SSB games. (But that’s just fanon.)

Must add, it’s always great to see a fellow fan of not just Star Fox, but also F-Zero. Both series need more love from gamers, and Nintendo-fans. :)

I really really WANT an F-Zero for 3DS. (Seeing the racetrack, dust clouds, and such wizz by in 3D would look awesome. Plus, like MK7 the 3D would help you gauge distance better.)
I’d even welcome a remake of the N64 game. Especially, if they implemented the Japan-only N64DD “Expansion Pack,” which featured a custom-race track feature, proper music for the Rainbow Road level, and some other cool things.

Two of my favorite series put together in collab, epic. Now all you need is Andy Summer (AKA Caption Falcon From F-Zero) and it would be perfect! But still, great job!

Assault has super fun multiplayer.
And SFA was amazing for its time. Very immersing world and music.

I’m more of a “Star Fox 64” person, but very good ponyfications here.

@greaterlimits
Yeah, it was more of a Zelda game, then a Star Fox game. (Blame that on the fact, it was originally meant to be an original game titled “Dinosaur Planet,” before they decided to make it a Star Fox game… And regardless of what the rumors say, the people at Rare actually confirmed they were happy to get to make it into a Star Fox game.)

@S. Fox
Assault was good, but focused a bit to much on land missions, and such. (The ability to switch vehicles in some levels was a good feature though.) SFCommand was 100% air, had multiple characters to play as, and the scrapped stradgy map feature from the never-released “Star Fox 2.”… But the gimmicky touchscreen controls weren’t very good, (depending on who you ask) and kinda hurt it… (And gave me writer’s cramp…)

Here’s hoping WiiU Star Fox gets it right. (Yes, Miyamoto confirmed he’s making one.)

I needed a decent background. This game just happened to have one I liked. I agree this game did kinda suck. And Assault, while great, was just too short. And I have mixed feelings on Command…
