The more fabric you use on the skirt, the more heat it can hold.
Also, a longer skirt would block slightly air from flowing onto the thighs, reducing coolness from evaporation.
Maybe not much difference, but on a really hot day, why not be as cool as possible
I can’t see that practical reason as a bit longer skirt would serve the same purpose. I think it’s only made for sexual reasons.
It’d keep you cool in the summer, given a nice practical reason, I’m pretty sure the answer to that is yes.
I’m getting the fuck out before I do something I might regret in prision’s showers.
