Here, we see Rainbow Dash, high above Ponyville in her own thoughts. Caught in a reflection of her relationships with those she’s known longest, and the element of loyalty for which she not only possesses, but embodies.
Curiosity brews as she stares at the horizon. A question she might have known had she paid more attention. Had she given it more thought before now. For what purpose does this riddle plague her, she does not know. But for as long as it weighs on her mind; as long as she is the element of loyalty, she will take a break from her high flying life in the fast lane to sit and think.
The wind blows by unnoticed by the pegasus inside her own mind, preoccupied by that of which she cannot be without. A small sigh escapes her nose to join the gusts out into the distance, a release to the world in her vexed state only to be so little to pass without anypony knowing it occurred.
To make one more, to release her question for her own sake, she opens her mouth knowing full well that nothing around will hear her. Or perhaps that is the reason she finds the confidence to throw a little more to the wind in her thoughts of friendship. Whatever it may be, she takes a breath and speaks aloud…
“I wonder if AJ likes tomato soup.”
