I disagree, most of that was in S3. And she grew the most then.
 
I would say Rarity: relationships with Shy, Sweetie, and AJ all improved. And showed she did not care about losing in Manehattan so long as she did the right thing.

After noticing how horribly things have been going for the poor girl for the past year and a half (and what will be over 2 years by season 5), the writers will have no choice but to give her the most growth in season 5.

Definitely Dash. She showed that she genuinely cares for Scootaloo and actually helped her in Flight to the Finish, and in Equestria Games she even acknowledges that it’s fine if they don’t win.

Pretty soft for a Sony.
I wish I could say that Pinkie Pie had some sort of character development or growth, but her maturity was pretty much childlike the whole season.

I’m going with Spike mostly because of the Equestria Games and Power Ponies incidents. After standing aside so long as Twilight’s #1 Assistant, he’s begun to self-actualize.
