I saw somewhere you can evantually found the save but must root your system or something…  
and I don’t really want to break my phone XD

@bangayo Do you know what the savefile is called or where it’s stored? I know the average mobil game uses .sol and stores it somewhere in your (OS) program folders.

this is my screenshot, I only spent 8€ once in this game, I never use gems to skip or boost something, only when really need it
 
be careful, if you want to play it on another phone / tablet you will lost your game because there is no save on gameloft server :(

Some quests ask you to buy a terrain item that will cost 30-40-50-100-250-whatever number of gems, or you can skip it for 3 gems.  
I’ve saved a few gems that way
 
The Dancing minigame gives you random ponies, if you buy all the ponies that cost bits first then the dancing game will give you ponies that cost gems.

I’m not sure if it works anymore but you can change the time to get the daily bonuses.  
Start the game and get the bonus and then quit the game. Go to device settings and change the date to the next day. Now start the game again to get the new bonuses. Repeat until you have enough gems.

Is Fleur still an alicorn in this? I need to upgrade my phone soon and must know!

Save every gem you acquire. You need a set amount to actually complete the game, so don’t waste it on small things, like skipping or mini-games. Use them only when necessary. Get as much of your shops going at their highest possible production, and farm for Parasprites and Changelings (ESPECIALLY the Changelings. They spawn at a higher rate and are more likely to drop gems.) And be sure to log in every day; day 4 gives you 1 gem, and day 5 gives you 2.  
They’re REALLY stingy about giving out gems still, but if you keep at it, you’ll be okay.  
Alternatively, if you do eventually relent and decide to purchase them, wait for a sale instead of paying the full price. :V

Came across a hack that allows you to get unlimited gems and bits but to be honest, the payoff in this game is not worth the effort even with cheats.

Got any tips for getting lots of gems aside from buying them?
