In a desperate attempt to be with her friends again, Twilight finds a book deep within the library of the Castle of The Two Sisters. Within it is a spell that will allow a pregnant mare to be infused with the Elements and, essentially, give birth to a reincarnation of the ponies who were imbued with their power. Unwilling to employ a surrogate because of the extremely personal nature of this endeavor, Twilight takes it upon herself to bring her friends back into the world at any cost. With the help of Spike, she picks out a suitable stallion for the night and performs the spell. She sequesters herself within her castle for the entire pregnancy, embarrassed to show herself among her subjects in a weakened state. She has the foals within her study, Spike as her only comfort.
This is a few days after the foals are born. Twilight makes a very protective mother to the foals who she hopes against hope will become the friends that she misses so much… if even for just a little while.
I’m pretty sure there are a few fics in that line already. Immortality isn’t as great as everypony suspects
Knowing Twilight, that makes for an all the more intriguing experiment.
XD You are a genius. Can’t stop laughing.
That has always been Twilight, now and forever. Amen. X3
And that’s where it gets sad
“Mommy, you’re scaring me!”
That actually made my day, somebody telling me something I said was funny. :)
Can’t stop laughing. XD
“But Mommy I don’t want to be a fashionista when I grow up.”
“You will! And you will like it, Rarity #37!”
“Can I be a fashionista?”
“No! Applejack #37, you have to be a farmer! Go back to practicing your southern accent!”
Boy, that’s kinda dark when you go into it.
Also add the fact that she might keep doing this, over and over in the coming centuries, and things start to get morbidly insane quick
Exactly.
There’s very little chance these girls will grow to become who they used to be.
-Applejack: Since its been centuries, Sweet Apple Acres might not even exist anymore.
-Rarity: Same problem. The Boutique and almost everyone who ever knew about it probably doesn’t even exist anymore.
-Pinkie Pie: Her original family on the rock farm as well as the Cakes and the twins are long gone.
-Fluttershy: She’s actually probably in the “best” position out of them all: Wildlife has always been her friend and could probably reestablish that connection pretty easily.
-Rainbow Dash: Her whole life she’s wanted to become a Wonderbolt. Many organizations have formed and disbanded over time; The Wonderbolts may not exist anymore. Though I suppose she could simply try to get a group of pegasi together and try to reestablish that organization but who knows?
And I haven’t even gotten to the Crusaders yet….
It seems like a decent story so far, but I kinda hope it doesn’t turn into one of those “Celestia is evil” stories, seeing how Twilight seems upset/angry with her, distanced herself from her, and such.
Though, Twilight does have a tendency to overreact, exaggerate, and such. So maybe her fears about Celestia finding her new foals, and such are unfounded.
True, but for me personally, I love the idea of immortality
I does for some, and doesn’t for others. That’s my take on this.
No it doesn’t:
(IMMORTALITY SUCKS AND BLOWS)
I would offer, but I severely doubt my current ability to make it as good as the concept requires.
Just imagine the desperation that must precede such an action. To become pregnant, find a spell that may or may not work, and cast it on the off-chance of seeing your friends brought back to life.
Man, that’s depressing.
