During the fight when both of the M.U.T.O were on him, blood would shoot off of Godzilla when the M.U.T.O gashed at him, implying that he should have large wounds. Later, Godzilla is seen with no gashes whatsoever, which could lead one to believe that he has hyper regeneration.

To be fair, Godzilla rising back to his feet after a night’s rest didn’t necesarily imply they kept the healing factor. He could’ve simply tanked most of the damage out of sheer durability, but finally collapsed due to all the fatigue. Just like with Hulk, I believe G’s healing factor isn’t something they plan to focus on (or even adress) in the movies because I believe it makes it harder for them to make battles exciting when the character can instantly heal from all minor/medium damage.
Wolverine is an exception because the HF has always been a very iconic part of his character, which isn’t the case with Hulk/Godzilla despite them having the same thing.

Err, actually, seeing Godzilla at the end of the movie, we can kind of imply he still has his regenerative abilities. Also, it still depends on which Godzilla you’re talking about.
Only thing I didn’t like about it was how much they downplayed the big guy.
I mean, I understand why they did it (drama and excitement), but in truth it would take much (and I mean MUCH) more than a few slashes and falling skycrapper to even hurt Godzilla. He’s come unscathed from asteroid impacts while being on ground zero.
Also, Org G-1 people.
Most people mistakenly assume its just durability with him.
He has a very efficient healing factor as well guys.
@RAMMSTEIN45
I understand; however, he’s Godzilla, he could have 5 skyscrapers 3x the size of that one fall on him and it still wouldn’t do squat to him. Also, his reason for stopping the MUTO is a little different than why the humans want them gone.
@Mechanized Pony
You see a personality to Godzilla in that quick moment. He’s not a heartless creature hell bent on destruction, he wanted to stop the Muto’s like the humans wanted to. When he fell, you see the the pain in his eyes, and you see he shares the same struggle. You can’t help but sympathize for him.

but we dont need thousands of more mutos…………. We DO in fact need the big guy though, so i think this is more fitting.
My favorite scene was when the MUTO met up in San Francisco.
That’s very true. Still, that doesn’t change the fact of how much I loved that scene.

May I ask why?
That too. But this scene gave me the mega feels.
