And there’s this little kids show that was made into a movie. The movie includes missles, guns, violence, horrifying scences, and near murder parts. Like seriously. That movie is for kids five and under.
I know.
Dude, if a tree blowing up is “violent,” you’d be surprised what other cartoons have done.
Let’s not forget Leonardo beheading the Shredder.
FTFY
…yes.
The book may be kinda hard to damage in itself considering in season 2 it put up with being the focal point of a fight over it.
Words of greatest truth.

Which is sadder?…
Spring of 2013 called. They want their fandom mindset back. The writers gave us today’s episode, as well as a fantastic season.
Season 3 ended with Twilight getting her wings; Season 4 started with her trying to get used to them.
Just watch. Season 5 will start with Twilight searching the ruins of the old library to see if anything survived. That or it will start with her struggling to get used to the new castle, and talk about how the old library was so much simpler. Or some other thing to the same effect.
To be fair, Twilight herself & her owl looked pretty upset about it. She was so upset in fact, she started taking on Tirek herself. That sad look she gave just before fighting him was especially heart-rending.
But… I accept it for what it is - an unexpected representation of loss in an otherwise candy-flavoured cartoon, and one that really hit hard.
(Picks one up.) “Garfield Takes the Cake?”
(drops a bunch of books)
Oh really?
Oh, right. Nopony ever checked out a book from the library.
Forever a place our hearts shall be.
I…I need a moment…something’s in my eye.
It looks cold, it’s spiky and nowhere near as lively as the library, so this hole gets a clear F from me.
I know, that’s what made the destruction of the library tree so emotional in the ep’. The heroes needed to suffer some kinda loss, and losing the library is the closest thing to a character death they could probably get away with. It shows how far Tirek would go, and it gave Twilight that extra push to fight against him.
@toonbat
I don’t think the castle is that bad honestly.
