I just like watching people freaking out over being spoilered on something that will air in a day or two, when the post was correctly tagged as a spoiler.  
Now when something has not yet been tagged as a spoiler and someone stumbles in and sees something shocking like, Princess Celestia crowning Discord as the new alicorn princess of chaos. And the individual dislikes seeing new stuff before the episode has aired, I can see that as being kinda bad for the individual…  
I personally would still watch tomorrow’s episodes just as well even if Hasbro released 20 spoiler commercials and ‘forced’ me to watch them, out of order and one after the other..  
I dunno, maybe I just don’t react to spoilers as bad as other people do…

You don’t honestly expect people to heed warnings, do you? Telling someone to not do something is a surefire way to make them attempt that thing.

I’m gonna guess by comparing Discord to Darth Vader that they mean [spoilers] he’s gonna turn on Tirek and try to take him on rather than a personality comparison. Not to mention it’d fit Discord being compared to Scorpan, turning on him due to friendship.[/spoilers]

Too bad. It would have been a hoot to have a bunch of dead, soul-reaved ponies at the end. “Tirek’s defeated… but at what cost?”

Not really much that we couldn’t already assume from Meghan’s spoilers other than the || Scorpan reference || and || Discord’s betrayal ||.
 
It does reinforce the implication that ||all ponies are magical, even if it’s not overt like unicorns, || which pleases me.
 
The assumption being that since this is a kids’ show, everybody will be safe and sound in the end. I imagine the girls will even || forgive Discord and restore him to normal. ||

Rarity being older and more mature than Sweetie Belle, he has to use her like a baster instead, and he gets the last bit of magic from her by slapping her on the tush.

IMHO the final part about Twilight having to abandon her magic in exchange for freedom of her friends is looking quite similar to the final of the first IDW comics arc… (The one with queen Chrysalis).

Ugh…

While the review does mention how Tirek puts Twilight in another situation similar to what happened with King Sombra in The Crystal Empire, it doesn’t tell us if the friends he is holding hostage are either the rest of the Mane Six, or the Princesses, since we saw them get tossed into Tartarus in the trailer.
 
Either way, Twilight makes the same choice: Self-sacrifice over self-preservation and surrenders her magic, including the other Princeses’ probably, to Tirek, and loses her Cutie Mark.
 
Big mistake on Tirek’s part: That allows Twilight to rediscover her duties as the Elements of Magic, and seals his fate.

So it’s like Tirek is the latest smartphone with an extended battery pack and hacked and rooted and with a cpu overclock.

The bit where he forces Twilight to give up her magic for the sake of her friends kinda reminds of the end of Slayers NEXT, where Fibrizzo slowly killed off Lina Inverse’s companions until she agreed to cast Giga Slave.
